No. All PDF rendering, signature embedding, and PKI cryptographic validation are executed client-side using pdf-lib, PDF.js, and Node-Forge.

Can I use PKI digital certificate files (.pfx / .p12)?

Yes. You can import your PKI X.509 certificate file (.pfx or .p12) with your password to produce legally compliant Adobe-grade digital signatures.

Is the signature legally binding?

Yes. Standard electronic signatures (e-Sign) and PKI digital signatures created with valid certificates comply with ESIGN Act, eIDAS, and UETA guidelines.

Can I add multiple signatures to one PDF?

Yes. You can place multiple signature fields on different pages of the same document, each using the same or different certificates.

What's the difference between a visible and invisible digital signature?

A visible signature appears as a graphic on the page. An invisible signature embeds the cryptographic proof in metadata only — both are equally valid for verification.

Does this replace notarization?
